FhP-AICOS is interested in enrolling students in short to medium-term projects. Current ideas for students’ projects are:
Efficient low-cost motion capture and monitoring systems: state of the art and development of a working prototype;
Development of usability evaluation frameworks for current AICOS projects;
User experience design: new methods for analysis and evaluation of user experience design systems (e.g. multimedia installations, web 2.0 services);
Usability for mobile banking: cross evaluation and analysis of services and elaboration of guidelines;
Automatic cataloguing and navigation for photo collections;
Benchmarking off-the-shelf Zigbee and Z-Wave sensor networks;
Development of a router-based home networking gateway;
Open Mobile Location-based Services (LBS) Application Platform;
Development of a support center for healthcare systems based on the Broadband Forum's remote management standards;
Bluetooth convenience library for Linux-based residential routers;
Remote management stack implementation for Linux-based residential routers;
Health condition monitoring application for Linux-based residential routers;
Designing web interfaces for the TV+remote;
