SCDL – Supply Chain tracking and management with Distributed Ledger

Description:

A supply chain is a network that establishes a flow of products and associated information between a business, a client, its suppliers, the end consumer and everything in between. This project proposes a distributed ledger technology to answer several of the challenges found in Supply Chain Management. With this method, products can be tagged and assigned with unique identities that are then transplanted onto a transparent blockchain. In effect, blockchain-enabled asset digitisation allows for a product’s supply chain to effectively be transplanted onto a blockchain.

Outcome:

The project will boost Fhp-AICOS’ knowledge on distributed ledger and blockchain technologies. This acquired knowledge can be used not only in future projects and proposals applied to the supply chain field, but in several other project that may benefit from the usage of distributed ledgers such as Electronic health records, energy management, critical systems and several others.
