DUAAL – Dual Task Training for Elderly People

Description:

The DUAAL project focus on the development of a platform based on serious games which aim at promoting physical and cognitive activity in elderly people, namely through the support of interventions in both physical and cognitive domains, addressing the mobility, urinary incontinence and cognitive impairments, that usually concerns people in this age group.

 

Main Outcomes:

The outcome of this project will be an implementation of two serious interactive games focusing on the cognitive-motor training (dual task) and pelvic floor muscle training. The implementation should focus on the TV and should follow the guidelines for user interfaces for elderly people. Inertial sensors in specific parts of the body will be used for movement monitoring in real time.
