Platform Independent Usage Mining Framework

The objective of this thesis project is to help developers getting information about how people use their applications. Analyzing these interactions allows them to improve their user interfaces, making them more adapted to their real users.

The system that has been developed consists of an Android framework that can be integrated into any application developed for this platform. This framework allows them to register user interactions with the application where it is integrated. It also allows collecting visual information from the application, consisting of screenshots and position of its logged user interface elements, which will allow to visually analyzing user interactions.

All this information is collected to a server, where it can be processed in order to extract information like usage patterns.

Finally, user interactions can be analyzed using a web site that contains different tools that facilitate this analysis.
