This project aims to tackle the issue associated with the increasing complexity of software of low power embedded systems. Starting from Fraunhofer’s Kallisto IoT solution, this project aims to explore the capabilities of these kind of OSes and try to answer the question “When does a project becomes complex enough to require the use of an OS on low power embedded systems?”. Moreover, the OSes should be evaluated if they are a good fit for the Kallisto devices taking into account the power consumption, easiness of integration of the existing device drivers, portability and long-term viability.
An improved Kallisto SDK; Extend AICOS knowledge with embedded systems. This work is fully aligned with Sensry vision for the Kallisto ecosystem.
