Currently, the Internet of Things (IoT) is driving a new technological revolution that uses constrained wirelessly connected embedded devices to sense and actuate in many use-cases of our daily lives. Fraunhofer Portugal has a IoT solution composed by hardware,
firmware and software named Kallisto that is focused on reducing the development cycle and provide a mature building block for IoT application. Kallisto already supports several communication technologies, but is currently lacking in LoRa support.
Due to this, the student will design an LoRa add on board, assemble prototypes and validate them thoroughly using Kallisto. Moreover, the student will integrate the LoRa driver into the existing Kallisto Software Development kit.
