This research will be a hands-on data science project which is a combination of machine learning and optimization. This project aims to create a model that recommends tailor-made weekly meal plans for people. Next to that, it also contains an optimization part to satisfy various constraints and optimize the fit. An example of possible restraints is the nutrition of the meal plan and the user's preferences. This project is executed for a large retailer that also wants to monetize the output. From their business perspective, they want to know; if they provide this solution to their customer, how can they earn money? The ultimate goal is to create a model that makes these meal plans cost-effective, sustainable, and crossselling.
