BPOL – Battery Performance Optimisation Library

Description:

As the smartphone manufacturers equip their devices with ever more powerful Central Processing Units (CPUs), along with the fact that the devices’ screens get bigger and bigger, the battery performance starts to decrease and the need for an efficient resource management becomes more important than ever. Developers of mobile applications often forget how important the efficient use of the device’s power is for the user experience and how even the most ingenious application can easily become unusable if it drains battery too fast.

The aim of this project is to develop an Android library that will assist apps in better management of the resources they use and thus help to provide an extended battery life.
