Fraunhofer Center for Assistive Information and Communication Solutions – AICOSA journalistic piece on The Smart Companion project was shown in the ‘Portugal em Directo’ and ‘Jornal do País’ programs of RTPN and RTP1.
The Smart Companion is based on the Android OS platform and has been specifically designed to meet older adults’ needs and to help them overcome some limitations usually associated with aging.
As seen in the video (by clicking in the source link below), the purpose of the Smart Companion is to make it simple for inexperienced users to easily master common mobile phone tasks, such as making calls and sending voice messages.
