Fraunhofer AICOS‘ technology was in display at Hannover Messe 2019, in Germany, together with our partner TekOn Electronics, who we support in the development of the DUOS Gateway IoT.
The role of Industry 4.0 and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the path ahead to tomorrow's factories was featured in this year’s edition of Hannover Messe, which counted with 6,632 exhibitors hosting more than 220,000 visitors, potentially generating circa 6.5 m of business contacts.
Fraunhofer AICOS’ IoT technology developed in partnership with TekOn Electronics was on display at the fair, considered to be the world’s leading fair for promoting industrial technologies worldwide.
The partnership between Fraunhofer AICOS and TekOn Electronics (a business unit of Bresimar Automação, S.A.), started with the development of the WGW4IoT project, that established the basis for the commercial product now called DUOS Gateway IoT. WGW4IoT is a fully-featured gateway with IoT cutting edge technology targeted at industrial environments, providing an extensive set of features and flexibility, allowing future developments and product scaling due to its completely modular design, both on the hardware and software levels.
The presence at Hannover Messe of a product developed by AICOS in partnership with the TekOn Electronics, effectively demonstrates the centre’s capacity to develop R&D knowledge and advanced technologies, capable of generating added value to our partners or clients.
